The same as our Lava Battery Shields just dyed black. The Lava Rock(Basalt) construction is naturally chemical and acid resistant so it can be safely used on lead acid batteries. All batteries including gel, AGM, lithium, and others can prematurely fail or suffer performance loss when overheated. Using this heat shield can extend your battery's life and improve its performance. These heat shields offer superior thermal protection to factory insulation. Rated for 649c (1200F) continuous use, 1093c (2000F) intermittent.
